WHF is unique because we believe in conserving both large and small parcels of land to serve in providing critical habitat for plant and animal species.
Currently we hold over 30,000 acres of protected habitat as well as conserving those habitats for over 46 protected plant and animals species all of which are now protected in perpetuity. Our reach is far and wide, from as far north as Butte County to as far south as San Diego County. WHF is on a mission to preserve 100,000 acres of California open lands in the next 5 years.
