Niall Ogburn began working with WHF in November 2019 as a part-time wildlife steward before becoming a full-time employee in January 2020. Niall earned a B.A. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in conservation and restoration from Sonoma State University in 2017.
Following graduation, Niall worked as an invasive plant technician for the Catalina Island Conservancy, contributing to the conservation of rare, endemic plant species. In January 2019, he joined the Solano Resource Conservation District, focusing on restoration work throughout Solano County. Niall is now serving as WHF’s Bay Area regional Conservation Ecologist, blending wildlife stewardship with habitat management.
Niall has a lifelong passion for the outdoors and natural world conservation. In his free time, Niall enjoys hiking, skiing, and attending concerts.
