Loren E. Clark grew up in Southern California where his family has been since the 1870s. He received a B.S. degree in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation from Humboldt State University in 1984. After briefly working in environmental education and as a planner for Orange County, Loren and his wife Debbie moved to Placer County where he was employed with the County’s Planning Department and Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) for over 30 years. Loren retired in 2016 as the Assistant Director of CDRA. Loren’s Experiences in Placer County included a range of advance and current planning activities throughout unincorporated Placer County.

Loren continues to be involved in conservation issues by serving on the Wildlife Heritage Foundation Board, the Placer Land Trust Community Council and by providing professional services on long range natural resource planning programs such as the Placer County Conservation Program.
