Director
Robert Weygandt, an original member of the Wildlife Heritage Foundation’s Board of Directors, brings a wealth of experience in finance and public service to the organization.
Robert’s career has been marked by diverse achievements. He served as an instructor at various community colleges, teaching business administration, and held the position of vice president and chief financial officer at WECO Aerospace Systems in Lincoln. During his tenure, he emerged as a leading voice in the development of Placer Legacy, a groundbreaking program aimed at protecting the county’s land, water, and open spaces. This initiative, launched in 1997, involved extensive planning and underscored Robert’s commitment to balancing responsible development with environmental stewardship. He has also contributed his expertise as a Placer County planning commissioner and a member of the Placer County Economic Development Board.
Robert’s background in finance, coupled with his deep understanding of land-use planning and conservation, makes him an invaluable asset to the Wildlife Heritage Foundation.
Robert holds a BS and MS in Finance and Management from the University of Southern California.
