Field Trips Have Begun
The Wildlife Heritage Foundation’s Education program is in full swing! This spring we are working with students of all ages, including  third, fourth and fifth graders from area Lincoln schools. Most of our field trips are held at the Lincoln High School Farm Wetland Preserve. When the class arrives, the kids take a hayride out onto a beautiful wetland preserve where a hands on ecological experience awaits them. Students learn how to look for animal signs, observe wetland birds and dip net for pond creatures. We are also piloting a vernal pool exploration lab with Glen Edwards Middle School students, as well as a Tricolor Blackbird habitat assessment lab with Lincoln High School students. Enjoy the photos!
