Wildlife Habitat Program

The goal of our Wildlife Habitat Program is to create and implement innovative and cost-effective methods by which to protect wildlife habitats. Achieving this goal is accomplished by focusing on the following program priorities:

• Creating and managing conservation easements
• Protecting wildlife habitat on ranches
• Assisting with managing mitigation banks
• Maximizing the habitat values on mitigation properties, particularly on small, isolated parcels that are not part of management plans
• Creating and monitoring plans for ensuring that properties are protected as required under conditions of permits
• Conducting a PAR analysis that produces adequate fund requirements for protecting and managing land in perpetuity
